Article: Innovation and Adaptation: Artist Jennifer Angaiak Wood on Contemporary Yup’ik Mask-Making
With galleries closing in March and then reopening with limited capacity due to Covid-19, Stonington decided to put together a video of each of the three artists participating in their August 2020 show instead of having an in-person opening.
I was fortunate enough to show my work alongside Lillian Pitt, a world renowned artist of Wasco, Yakama, and Warm Springs descent, at Jeffrey Moose Gallery on Bainbridge Island, WA. Here are the two write ups from Currents Online, from Arts and Humanities Bainbridge.

I am a participating artist in the upcoming Indigenous art show, yehaw’. This is a yearlong project, and more information can be found at https://yehawshow.com/. The show opening is being held at King Street Station in Seattle, WA, on March 23, 2019, from 12 PM - 7 PM. The show will be up through August, so if you’re in the area go check it out!
As part of this project I will be doing a residency at King Street Station during the month of May. You are welcome to stop in and visit while I’m working!
